A magically curious piece of Victorian history – This is a rare large size crystal ball made by Two Worlds Ltd of Manchester circa late 1800s. The ball is in its original velvet lined case with Two Worlds Ltd embossed inside the lid. The Two Worlds Publishing Co was founded in Manchester in 1887 to produce the spiritualist publication ‘The Two Worlds’. Within a few years, they began developing their own brand of “spirit communication tools” during the heyday of the Spiritualist movement of the late 1800s. This particular ball is of the large variety, as most that were produced were about 1-2 inches smaller.
